The Notre Dame High School varsity basketball team has been exceptional this season, with a current 28-5 record. Their strong performance earned them a spot in the CIF-SS Open Division Finals, where they will compete for the championship.
This is the first time in program history that the Knights have been to the Open Division Finals.
Perfect 4-0 Record in Pool Play
Notre Dame dominated the Open Division Pool Play, finishing with a perfect 4-0 record. They secured key wins against tough opponents:
68-61 win over Harvard-Westlake
67-59 win over Santa Margarita
71-65 win over La Mirada
71-68 win over JSerra
Each victory showcased the team’s depth and ability to perform under pressure, setting them up for the finals.
The Finals: Toyota Center, Ontario, CA
Notre Dame will play in the CIF-SS Open Division Finals on Saturday, March 1 at 6:30 PM at the Toyota Center in Ontario, CA. The Knights will face Roosevelt High School. Roosevelt had a perfect 4-0 pool play record on the other side of the bracket, beating Sierra Canyon, St. John Bosco, Heritage Christian and Redondo Union.
With their impressive run so far, Notre Dame is ready for the challenge and aims to cap off their successful season with a championship win.
