The Notre Dame High School men’s basketball team is headed to the CIF State semifinals after a thrilling 66-64 win over St. Joseph’s on Saturday. This victory, following a dominant 76-56 win over Montgomery San Diego, secured the Knights a spot as the No. 3 seed in the tournament.
Notre Dame now faces Roosevelt High School in the semifinals on Tuesday, March 11, at 7:00 PM at Roosevelt's home court. This marks the third meeting between the two teams this season. Roosevelt won both previous matchups: 76-58 at the Tarkanian Classic in December and 74-67 in the CIF Southern Section Finals. Despite these losses, the Knights are ready for redemption.
The winner of this game will head to Sacramento to compete in the state finals against the winner of Archbishop Riordan vs. De La Salle.
