Notre Dame High School is thrilled to announce Brian Luderer as the new Head Varsity Softball Coach! Luderer takes the helm after serving as the lead assistant coach for the Knights over the past four years, bringing unmatched familiarity with the program, its players, and its winning culture.
Luderer steps into the lead role following the departure of Coach Justin Siegel, who has accepted a collegiate coaching position.
“We are deeply grateful for Coach Siegel’s four years of dedication, which elevated this program and positioned it for continued success,” said Athletic Director Alec Moss. “Looking ahead, we could not be more excited to transition leadership to Coach Luderer. His familiarity with our program is exceptional, and his tireless work ethic and commitment make him the absolute ideal leader to build on our strong foundation.”
Under the dynamic partnership of Siegel and Luderer, Notre Dame softball has achieved remarkable heights—capturing four consecutive Mission League titles and making multiple deep CIF-Southern Section playoff runs. Together, they have mentored and developed numerous student-athletes who have advanced to compete at the collegiate level, cementing Notre Dame softball as a powerhouse program.
The entire Notre Dame community thanks Coach Siegel for his incredible contributions and wishes him success in his new collegiate role. The Knights are ready for this next chapter, and we look forward to supporting Coach Luderer and the team as they gear up for another exciting season!
