The Note Dame men's tennis team took its second trip in the last three years to the University of Redlands to compete for a CIF Championship on Friday, competing in Division 2.
The Knights dominated in the first round of playoffs as, beating Great Oak 14-4, advancing to the quarterfinals to beat Loyola for the first time in program history 11-7. Notre Dame then took on Mater Dei in the semifinals and won 10-8.
The last time the Knights went to the finals, they were Division 3.
The Knights tennis team will graduate two seniors, Vem Tarassians and Jacob Truong, who both made a tremendous impact in Notre Dame's success this season.
Notre Dame fought until the very end, falling to Palos Verdes and earning CIF Southern Section runners up.
