MOORPARK, CA — This past weekend at Moorpark High School, the Notre Dame Men's Track and Field team put together a remarkable collective effort to capture the CIF Southern Section Division 3 Team Championship. The victory secures back-to-back CIF titles for the program, reflecting the hard work and dedication these student-athletes have poured into the season.
The team title also marks a historic milestone for Head Coach Joe McNab, earning his 12th career CIF Track and Field Championship over his distinguished coaching career.
Individual Champions Shine
In addition to the team success, the Knights celebrated two standout individual CIF Champions who put together exceptional performances:
JJ Harel (Senior): The senior and future USC Trojan excelled in the High Jump, clearing an impressive 7'1" to take first place.
Emanuel Pullins (Sophomore): Showing incredible poise as a sophomore, Pullins captured the Triple Jump title with a personal-best caliber leap of 45'11.75".
While individual titles make the headlines, this championship was truly won on the depth of the roster. Every point mattered, and the Knights relied on a total team effort to come out on top. Runners, throwers, and jumpers all stepped up when it mattered most, pulling together to make this team championship possible.
Looking Ahead to the CIF Masters Meet
The season continues this upcoming weekend as several Notre Dame athletes qualify to compete against the top performers in the state at the California Masters Meet, which will once again be hosted at Moorpark High School.
Congratulations to Coach McNab, the coaching staff, and all the student-athletes on an outstanding achievement and a memorable season.
