BROOKE BLOORE MAKES PROGRAM HISTORY EARNING FIRST EVER ALL-AMERICAN HONOR

Notre Dame senior Brooke Bloore has made history as the first player in the program's history to be named a USA Lacrosse All-American.

The prestigious honor recognizes Bloore's outstanding performance on the field while also celebrating the sportsmanship, leadership, integrity, and respect that define the nation's top student-athletes.

"Brooke earning All-American was a tremendous honor not only for herself, but for our entire program," said head coach Angela Lulejian. "I am proud not only of her leadership, poise, and athleticism, but also of her ability to inspire her teammates and lead them through our historic season."

Bloore was one of only nine players from Southern California selected as a USA Lacrosse All-American.

The senior put together a remarkable season, leading Notre Dame with 93 goals and 102 points while adding nine assists, 40 ground balls, 39 caused turnovers, and 99 draw controls. She was named the team's Most Valuable Player, earned First Team All-Mission League and CIF All-Southern Section First Team honors, and served as team captain.

This fall, Bloore will continue her academic and athletic career at the University of North Carolina, where she has been accepted into the university's business program.

"Being an All-American means demonstrating superior lacrosse skills and game performance while exemplifying sportsmanship, integrity, and respect for your peers, opponents, and officials alike," Lulejian said. "Brooke embodies every value that an All-American should represent. As the first lacrosse player in Notre Dame history to earn this distinction, she has set the gold standard for what it means to wear a Notre Dame lacrosse uniform."
