The Notre Dame Varsity football team beat Bishop Diego 35-34 in its home-opener Friday night.
After a tight game, quarterback Steele Pizzella ran the ball in for a touchdown in the fourth quarter with just about 30 seconds left to take the lead.
The Knights are now 1-1 on the season and will head to St. Francis next Friday.
