Notre Dame's Freshman Girls Volleyball Team won the 2024 Valencia Frosh/Soph Classic Gold Division Tournament Saturday! The tournament was held at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita. The Knights defeated Granada Hills, Paraclete, Ventura, Alemany, Harvard Westlake, tied 1 - 1 with Valencia. Freshman Setter/Outside Hitter Shay Taylor served the winning ace in a rubber match defeating Valencia with a final score of 25 - 19.
Setter Keira Luderer received Tournament MVP! Setter Maisy Cook, and Defensive Specialist Francesca Morgan were both awarded All-Tournament awards as well!
I could not be prouder of this group of student athletes who overcame adversity, stayed composed and left everything on the court.
We go into this week with a current undefeated league record of 4 - 0 up against Marlborough Tuesday the 17th, and IMAC Thursday the 19th. We also go into next Saturdays Whittier HS Cardinal Classic Tournament with a 10 - 2 tournament record seeking back-to-back tournament victories.
