Notre Dame High School is proud to announce the hiring of Brandon Alexander as the head coach of its inaugural girls' flag football program, set to debut this fall.
"I’m proud of Notre Dame for being the first Mission League school to embrace and support the launch of a girls flag football program,” said Athletic Director Alec Moss. “The interest from our student-athletes has been outstanding, and we’re excited to provide them with the opportunity to compete and display their skills in one of the fastest-growing sports in the state and country.”
Coach Alexander brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success at multiple levels of flag football. Most recently, he launched and led California Lutheran University’s inaugural club flag football program. Under his leadership, Alexander developed a diverse group of student athletes, while designing and implementing game strategy.
In addition to coaching at Cal Lutheran, Alexander served as a coach at Westlake High School, where he steered the team to the first round of the 2024 CIF-Southern Section Playoffs. His standout performance during the season earned him the prestigious title of Marmonte League Coach of the Year, while leading the team to a 16-3 record in its inaugural season.
In addition to his success at the high school and collegiate levels, Alexander has extensive experience coaching youth flag football. He has worked with programs including Glendale FNL Youth Flag Football and Los Al Youth Flag Football, helping develop young athletes and promote the sport's growth in Southern California.
Notre Dame High School’s inaugural flag football season kicks off this fall. With Coach Alexander at the helm, the program is poised to make a strong entrance into the competitive landscape of the Liberty League.
